_a keel on the earth

_Isla Negra is not an island, and it is not black. It was one of Pablo Neruda’s houses (Chile).

In a very imaginative style of expression Pablo Neruda defined his place as “a boat with toys.’ That definition is a very interesting, strong, architectural concept.

Pablo Neruda, 1904-1973; Nobel Prize for Literature 1971. Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez once called him “the greatest poet of the 20th century in any language.” Neruda always wrote in green ink as it was his personal color of hope.

In Chile, Pablo Neruda helps to reflect upon the relationship between art and architecture as well as on the strong role of geography in the South American culture.
